What a week it has been at the Cloud and Cybersecurity Expo in London! It was a fantastic way to celebrate International Women's Day, with enthusiastic attendees exploring global perspectives and products on Cybersecurity and Cloud Technologies.

The conversations and attention were focused on data security, given the current geopolitical conflicts, sustainable management of data, and efficient ways to manage data storage. 

Thought leaders from across the globe shared exciting perspectives on how we can securely manage data. 

The team from PWC Ireland introduced DORA, the Digital Operational Resilience Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2554) Third Party Risk Management. This will impact businesses globally, where compliance is mandatory if you're doing business with financial institutions in the UK and Europe.

Dr Christy Johnson, Head of R&D at NASA, gave a thought-provoking presentation on colonising Mars and the technologies required in 2100.

The conference also featured some great speakers from the Home Office UK, including Dia Nag and Rachel Kerr, who spoke about digital strategy, transformation, and the importance of taking a holistic approach to change. They stressed the role of technology as an enabler in delivering business outcomes and winning the hearts and minds of delivery teams, stakeholders, and customers.

The people side of cybersecurity was also discussed, including the challenges of managing burnout within the workforce when resources are scarce. There is much opportunity for improvement in how we manage and welcome diversity in this space, especially when managing neurodiversity within the tech landscape.
